According to the Ministerial Decision Nr. Υ7/30409/30-7-2001 on the extent of prescriptions by general practitioners the following apply:
“The specialization of general practice covers the basic skills and so general practitioners may prescribe drugs within their subject area
(Pathology, cardiology, dermatology, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics – traumatology, obstetrics – gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, psychiatry clinic). “
